This program is designed for young people interested in the systematic and rigorous study of societies and human groups. Social anthropology is the study of contemporary human groups, and physical anthropology is the study of human biology in relation to culture. Archaeology, on the other hand, is concerned with the study and analysis of the material culture of societies of the distant and recent past.

Student of Anthropology - Archaeology

The Early Childhood Educator who graduates from the University of Chile is an educational professional who is capable of developing relevant pedagogical proposals that promote the development, learning, well-being and citizenship of children from birth to six years of age, considering play as an essential tool in this stage of life. They will be characterized by a strong social commitment, valuing and working with families and communities, and by a critical reflection on their professional field, thus contributing to the construction of new knowledge in kindergarten education and, consequently, to the development of their profession.

Psychology training aims to train a professional who is able to understand and analyze the complexity and diversity of the discipline's field of study, situated in a socio-historical-political and cultural context, with a reflective, critical and ethical attitude. At the same time, it is an autonomous and proactive professional who has the ability to study, diagnose, intervene and evaluate psychological processes in individuals, groups, communities and organizations, using methods recognized by the discipline itself and related ones, and who is also capable of integrating interdisciplinary teams.

It provides a broad theoretical and methodological training that allows the analysis and research of social phenomena and enables efficient performance in the design and implementation of social programs and policies.

Sociology student

The social work career aims to train a professional capable of consistently developing the main matrices of the social sciences, humanities and knowledge production of social work. This translates into basic skills for research and social intervention. This preparation enables him/her to generate a critical and complex analysis of social reality, to base and implement effective and innovative social interventions that have an impact on the substantive improvement of some of the challenges of the country's social agenda, providing criteria and strategies for improvement in specific social programs and policies.

The doctoral programs at FACSO provide tools and support to carry out original and autonomous research that reveals interdisciplinary intersections of interest. We focus on creating conditions for researchers to advance in comprehensive, critical and proactive interpretations of social phenomena through the management of complex theoretical and methodological systems, updated and accompanied by the characteristics of our local and regional realities in the context of globalization.

Masters

Our Master's degrees are spaces for analytical development that enhance a theoretical perspective while recognizing the practical application of conceptual approaches necessary to rigorously address contemporary social phenomena. Each FACSO Master's program has the mission of producing graduates of academic and professional leadership, with the knowledge and skills to advance the study of the social fabric in a systematic, creative, comprehensive and, above all, critical manner.
